Frank Metro

Obituary of Frank Gerald Metro

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

In the quiet town of Saginaw, beneath the Michigan sky, Frank Metro was born, in November, year fifty-four. A life that began on the fifteenth, so bright and so fair.  With a heart full of love, and a spirit rare. Frank grew up with vigor, in Bay City, a place he called home.  His final resting space was Ann Arbor's embrace. He journeyed through life, with a smile on his face, Until cancer called time, and he left with such grace. He was a man of the service, with honor he stood, In the Air Force and Army National Guard, doing good. Then he found his true calling, with hammer and nail, As Metro Builders' owner, he would never fail. His family, oh how he cherished them so, With his wife Carmen Metro, their love did glow. His children, Frank G., Rachel, Carla, Shelby, Kristine, Eight grandchildren, the joy in his life's serene. LuAnn, Mary, and Nora, his sisters so dear, With Rod by her side, and Kim with P.J. near.  The Metro family tree, with branches spread wide, Love intertwined, forever to abide. His parents, Frank G. and Barbara, first set the tone, With Ralph Bennett as stepfather, love was always shown. Though they departed first, their memory lives on, In Frank, their son, whose light always shone. Pam Phillips, his sister, and cousin Ricky too, Have gone on before, to skies of eternal blue. Yet their stories remain, in the hearts of those left, As Frank joins them now, we're not wholly bereft. For Frank's life was full, of passion and pleasure, His hobbies and interests, his true life's treasure. Hunting and fishing, the great outdoors his domain, Working on guns, in his country terrain. Tinkering and fixing, creating with hands skilled, In the quiet of nature, his heart was fulfilled. His love for his family, his friends, and his craft, Leaves memories behind, treasured and laughed. He's survived by a lineage, proud and strong, Frank G. Metro, his son, will carry on. Daughters Rachel, Carla, Shelby, and Kristine, With Jesse by her side, their love will shine. Elysa, Andrew, Kyle, Chase, and Jorden too, Kimberley and Lincoln, their lives anew. Nieces and nephews, cousins aplenty, Friends by the score, his life was so plenty. So here's to Frank Metro, a man of great worth, Whose laughter and love brought joy to this earth. With each rhyme, we remember, with each verse, we smile, For he touched our hearts, and made life worthwhile. Farewell to Frank, though you've taken your leave, Your spirit endures, and in that, we believe. Your story's not ended, just entered a new phase, As we celebrate you, all our remaining days.
