Floyd James Worthington, known affectionately as Floyd to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at the age of 62, in Wixon, MI. Born on April 12, 1963, in Bay City, MI, Floyd's life was a tapestry of love, adventure, and the joy of discovery.
Floyd was the treasured son of Floyd (Rose) Worthington and a beloved brother to Carol Knak, Sylvia Canute, Mary Ward, Alexandria Worthington, and Michelle Worthington. His legacy of love continues through his devoted daughter, Martha Worthington, and his cherished granddaughter, Miyia, who were the apples of his eye. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ward; sister, Linda Smith; and brother-in-law, Bruce Knack.
From an early age, Floyd was known for his loving and thoughtful nature. He had a knack for making everyone around him feel special and valued. Floyd's adventurous spirit led him to many outdoor pursuits, with camping and kayaking being among his favorite ways to connect with nature. His fascination with the elusive Bigfoot sparked many an adventure and story that he shared around campfires and during family gatherings. An avid collector, Floyd sought out the unique and the interesting, finding beauty and value in both old and new treasures. His collections were a reflection of his eclectic tastes and his appreciation for the stories embedded within each item. Friends and family often marveled at his latest finds and the passion with which he pursued his hobbies. Floyd's life was grounded in the relationships he nurtured.
