Judith Jeffers

Obituary of Judith Ann Jeffers

Judith Ann "Judy" Jeffers, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in her hometown of Bay City, Michigan. Born on April 13, 1937, Judy's life was a tapestry woven with joy, kindness, and an unending zest for life. She was a cherished wife to Richard Jeffers for 60 years, a devoted mother to Tom (Lynne) Jeffers and Jennifer (Beth) Jeffers, and a doting grandmother to Mia Carr, Logan Schultz, Jordyn Jeffers, and Bennett Jeffers.

Judy's early days in Bay City set the stage for a life filled with community ties and family bonds. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Gertrude (Munz) Piper, and sister to the late David (Donna) Piper. Her roots ran deep in the city that she loved.

Throughout her career as a Sales Representative, Judy's bright personality and genuine care for others shone through. Her ability to connect with people was not just a professional skill, but a personal gift that she extended to everyone she met. Judy's dedication to her community was evident in her active involvement with numerous volunteer organizations. She gave her time selflessly, always striving to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Judy treasured time with her family above all else, creating a home filled with laughter, song, and love. A lover of musical theater, Judy's voice could often be heard melodiously echoing through the house, a testament to her enjoyment of singing. She enjoyed traveling and the new experiences it brought. Closer to home, Judy was a formidable opponent in games of bridge and cribbage, where her sharp mind and competitive nature made for many an entertaining evening.

Her kindness was a constant, a trait that guided her actions and left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community.

Judy's legacy is one of love and joy, of laughter shared and songs sung, of journeys taken and games played. She lived her life with an open heart, welcoming all who crossed her path with a warm smile and an infectious giggle. As we say goodbye to Judith Ann Jeffers, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she leaves on the hearts of those who loved her.
