Barbara Wood

Obituary of Barbara Jean Wood

Barbara Jean Wood, affectionately known as Barbie, Barb or B-Doll to her friends and family, passed away at home, with her loved ones surrounding her. Born on June 15, 1962, to Jo-Ann Berthiaume and the late Donald Wood.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jessie Jones; her beloved mother, Jo-Ann Berthiaume (Floyd); cherished sisters, Sandy Kelley (Bobby), Linda Wood (Cecil), and Debbie Newton; stepson, Marcus Jones; nephews and niece, Andrew Turcotte, Paul Newton (Dayna), and Jodi Ebersberger (Pat); brother-in-law, Stan Jones (Cekeshawin); sister-in-law, Ruby Jones; mother-in-law, Ethel Robinson; great-nieces and nephews, Dylan, Logan, & Ryleigh Ebersberger, Amelia & Lydia Newton; and many other family and friends; and her kitties, Dena & Donna. Her spirit is carried on in the hearts of her family and friends, who take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and pain free.

Barb was preceded in death by her father, Donald Wood; her grandparents, Hank and Tillie Raymaker; brother-in-law, Mike Newton; aunt, Rose-Lee Faustin; and cousin, Sheri who greeted her at the gates and they were off playing the heavenly casinos together.

Barb retired from General Motors after a long career. Barb loved to travel, having explored the wonders of Australia, Greece, Europe, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Mexico, and many other destinations. She shared many of her adventures with family and friends, and the memories of those adventures will bring joy to those who were lucky enough to go with her.

She loved casinos! Where she would try to win the big one! Barb was generous in sharing casino trips and concerts, so many concerts, with her family and friends. Where laughter, fun and beautiful memories were made that will be cherished. Especially when a song comes on that was sung at a concert. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
