Obituary of Andrew Carmona

Andrew “Andy” Carmona peacefully passed away at home on December 28, 2025 at the age 81.  He was born June 1, 1944 to the late Jose and Evangeline (Saenz) Carmona.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Andy then went on to work for General Motors, married his beloved wife Mary on June 22, 2006.

Andy enjoyed spending time with his family, attending and participating in car races, and creating memories with those around him through music, laughter, cookouts, and camping. You could always count on Andy to be there with a smiling face and a story to tell.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Mary Carmona; his children, Rosemarie (Rick) Lucero and Joseangel Carmona, Tom and Dawn Depottey, and Amanda; siblings, Joseph (Pauline), Margaret (Jim) Ecker, John Carmona, Mary Louise Olson and Rachel Garcia. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Andy was preceded in death by his siblings, Carmen Carmona-Dishaw, Frances Hellebuyck, and Gloria Garcia; and his son, Harry Depottey.        

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm, January 19, 2026 at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N.
