Obituary of Elizabeth Johnson Knuckles

Johnson Knuckles, Elizabeth Bay City, Michigan Elizabeth, age 95, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was born in Bullock County, Alabama on April 12, 1925 to the late Arthur and Cora Murry. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Bay City and served as an usher. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and spending her time with family and friends. She retired from Bay Shores Nursing and Rehab in 1992 after 23 years of dedicated service. She is survived by her two nephews, She is survived by two nephews, James Murry and John Murry of Montgomery, AL. niece Lisa Coney of Saginaw, MI. great-nieces Andrea Wilkins and Imani Coney, great-great nephew Jameson Williams of Houston, TX. God daughter Linda Donald of Dayton, Ohio. sister-in-laws, Christine Milton and Mattie Taylor of Saginaw, MI, Ceola Fredrick of Clinton Township, MI and, Clora Shivers of Smyrna, GA. brother-in-law Louis Knuckles of Saginaw. Also surviving is a special friend, Jesse Campbell; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Minnie Robinson, brother James Murry Sr. and loving companion John Knuckles Jr. The family would like to express their appreciation to New Hope Bay and Care Team Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided Elizabeth. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe Street, Bay City MI. Pastor John Williams will officiate. Per MDHHS order, social distancing, masking and a maximum of 25 people will be in place for the safety of those attending. Burial will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
