McGrandy, Edith, M.
Vassar, Michigan
Edith passed away May 27, 2021 at the age of 72. She was born in Pontiac Michigan on October 27, 1948 to the late Ed & Maybelle Wilson.
More than anything, Edith enjoyed being a grandma, and spending time with her grandkids, whom she loved so dearly and lived for. She enjoyed time with her family, crafts, knitting, and crocheting. She had a passion for crafts, and was extremely talented, making dresses and entire wedding arrangements. Early in life she loved walking and exercising. She loved music and would often sing aloud to the music playing on the radio, no matter what she was doing or where she was at. She loved cooking for her family, especially on the holidays. Over the years, she and her late husband Larry, took pure joy in hosting family get togethers at their residence to bring their family together and to celebrate no matter what the occasion.
She is survived by her only child, Larry E. McGrandy and his fiance' Renae Gamm; grandchildren, Tayla Marie Gravelle, Jessa Lynn Carlson, Evelyn Leona Sue Gamm, Vivian Elaine McGrandy, & Lennox Caid McGrandy; siblings, Duane Wilson, Gary Wilson, Donnie Wilson, Joyce Wilson, Linda Wilson, Sharon Baesinger, Alice Nelson, Judy Wilson, and Debbie Wilson; nieces and nephews, Shawn Wilson, Heather Wilson, Candi Marzec, Sharron Lewis, Thereasa Yaklin, Stephanie Yaklin, Sandra Toth, Leann McGahnn, Sissy McGahnn, Richard Storms, Eddie Wilson, Michael Wilson, Duane Yaklin, Jason Yaklin, Troy Yaklin and a very special great-great-nephew, Kyland Wright.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Lawrence Randall McGrandy; brother, Orval Wilson; nephews, Matthew Wilson and Duane Wilson; god-daughter, Kristina Toth; and niece, Lucille Storms.
