Anderson, Jim (Claude James) Saginaw, MI Jim passed away on July 13, 2021 at the age of 92. He was recently residing at Close to Home, in Bay City. Jim was born on April 12, 1929, to the late Claud and Marie (Perone) Anderson, in Montcalm County, MI. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1947. Jim married Jeanette Demsky in 1951, his loving wife for 69 years. She preceded him in death in February 2021. Jim and Jeanette were wonderful parents and grandparents to their three children, Colleen Durocher, Keith (Debbie) Anderson, Kerri (Daryl) Griggs; grandchildren, Rory, Alicia, Amanda (Grant), Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Kaida and Charlotte. Jim retired from Furstenberg Braun Lumber Company, in 1991. He loved hunting and fishing. In retirement he was an avid woodcarver, creating a series of Santa Clauses which are cherished by those fortunate enough to have them. He continued to carve until a few months ago. Jim was one of the founding members of the Tri City Wood Carvers Club and contributed his time and talents on the carousel at the Saginaw Zoo. Jim and Jeanette had attended St Josaphat’s Church in Carrollton, now Saint John Paul II Parish. A Mass will be held for both Jim and Jeanette at 8:30 AM, Friday, July 30, 2021 at St. John Paul II Parish, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw Michigan.
