Tom, age 72, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Hospital in Midland. He was born on March 11, 1949 in Bay City to the late Michael and Stella (Verbowski) Girou. He enjoyed fishing and helping others, and always looked forward to visiting with his family and friends. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He is survived by his sons, Chad and Eric (Gayle); two grandchildren; sister, Nancy Joslin; brothers, Edward and Robert; nieces and nephews; and very good friends, Doug and Joanie. He was predeceased by his sister, Audrey Cornell, and brother, Danny. Cremation has taken place, with burial planned at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
