Obituary of Richard Allen Jamrog
Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Rick Jamrog, went to heaven on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born in Bay City Michigan on July 31, 1959 to Stanley A. and Catherine (Majznerski) Jamrog.
Rick was a 1977 graduate of Bay City Central, and worked 39 years at advanced distribution center, retiring in December 2021. He had a great love of sports, was an avid University of Michigan fan, as well as a Redwings fan. His love for music echoed through our family, and he especially loved The Who, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, classic rock, and classic oldies. His favorite hobby was collecting Snoopy memorabilia, because Snoopy was always happy and never had to say a word. Rick also had three dogs of his own, his beloved Mazie, Hattie, and Sage.
Rick’s footprints have left a permanent impression on the lives of many, that will be held dearly in all our hearts. He will be greatly missed.
It’s not a final goodbye, but rather, goodbye for now. Rick took the words of John Lennon’s song, Imagine, to be his own, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be, take a sad song and make it better, and all you need is love!
He survived by his parents, Catherine and Stanley A. Jamrog; his brother and sisters, John Jamrog, JoAnn (Rick) Siminski, Amy (Ken) Jamrog-Buckey, and Sue Jamrog; his lifetime girlfriend, Sherry Kemp; many nieces and nephews who also adored him; and a great-niece and two great-nephews.
