Mr. Merrill, age 91, passed away on Wednesday November 1, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region.  Clifford was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 26, 1932 to the late Clifford C. and Mary Eleanor (Streeter) Merrill.  He married the former Della Thomas of Hope, Michigan on July 23, 1960.  Clifford was the store manager of Merit Shoe Store in downtown Midland, Michigan.  He retired in 1991 after 37 years of service.  After retiring he worked several years parttime at Allan Shoe Store in downtown Bay City, Michigan.  Mr. Merrill is survived by his wife Della of 63 years.  Also surviving is his brother James (Donna) Merrill, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister Erven R. and Kenneth G.
