Gertrude passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born in Meriden CT February 2, 1928 to the late John and Rilla (Cossette) McCarthy. She lived in Lennon Michigan for over 40 years. She married Henry Bissonnette in Maryland on November 24, 1963, and he predeceased her on April 27, 1991. She was a life member of the Corunna V.F.W. Post #4005 Auxillary. She was a registered nurse, working at McLaren Medical Center in Flint for over 20 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her son Henry Paul, and wife, Nitaya Bissonnette of Gales Ferry Connecticut. A private interment is scheduled at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta Michigan. To sign online guestbook, visit www.hyattewald.com Arrangements made with Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City, Michigan.
