Obituary of Pauline Culpepper
Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pauline Perry Culpepper, our Beloved Mother, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the age of 63. Pauline was born May 22, 1951 in Tunica, Mississippi, to Bernice Perry. They relocated to Bay City, Michigan, in 1953, where Pauline was raised and continued to reside. After a lifetime of self-sacrificing, Pauline has earned her rest.
Pauline graduated from Bay City Central High School at the top of her class in 1969. She landed a position with Michigan Bell Telephone Company in 1972. Over the course of her career, Michigan Bell became Ameritech, then SBC, which later merged with and became the AT & T of today. Beginning as a telephone operator, Pauline went on to achieve great success as an area manager of a multi-state engineering department; retiring December, 2008 after 36 years of service.
While Pauline was an exemplary employee and kind and loyal friend, what she found the most pride and happiness in was her family. She sadly leaves behind her devoted children Stacie Culpepper Noel of East Lansing, MI; Dion Culpepper of Lansing, MI; Candace (Josh) Culpepper of Dearborn Heights, MI, and her baby sister Deanne Kinsley of Essexville, MI. Pauline's greatest joy came through time spent with her grandchildren, Adair (Sydney) Reed Noel, Nala Nakai Noel and her great-grandson Adair Reed Noel II; her nephews Austin-Michael Riley, Payton Kinsley and her niece Alijah Rae Kinsley.
Pauline is survived by and will be sadly missed by her former husband, James Culpepper and her adoring siblings, Shirley (Anthony) Graham of Pontiac, MI; Loretta (Lester) Gibbs of Orlando, FL; Chantay (Rennie Sr) Tarver of Orlando, FL; and Andre Meersseman of Clarkston, MI; her nieces and nephews Charles III, Michael, Rennie Jr, Stephen, Angela, Dominic, Jordyn, Jada and Axel. Several great-nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Preceding Pauline in passing are her mother Bernice Hill; her brother Alfred Lee Hill; and her grand-daughter Kyomi Linai Culpepper.
A life celebration service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday January 12, 2015 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe Street, Bay City. To sign online guestbook visit www.hyattewald.com. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan.
