Obituary of Maxine L. Walter

Walter, Maxine L. Findlay, Ohio (formerly of Zephyrhills, FL and Byron, MI) Mrs. Walter, age 98 died Tuesday March 24, 2015. Maxine was born in Conway Township on February 10, 1917 to the late George and Anna (Wendel) Sweeten. She married the late Clinton E. Walter at Antrim Baptist Church on March 31, 1935. They lived in the Byron Area until moving to Zephyrhills, Florida in 1979. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Findlay for the past 8 years, a former member of Faith Baptist Church, Zephyrhills, Florida and Antrim Baptist Church for 54 years, and attended the Byron Baptist Church. Maxine worked for Ideal Medical Company for 14 years retiring as a final inspector. Mrs. Walter is survived by her 3 sons; Donald (Marlene) Walter of Findlay, Ohio, Dale (Barbara) Walter of Byron, Pastor Dean (Sue) Walter of Latham, New York. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton in 2005, her brother and 2 sisters; Wilbur Sweeten, Rosa Oliver and Lilah Hall. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 28, 2015 at the Byron Baptist Church, 410 N. Ann Street, Byron, Michigan, Pastor Dean Walter and Pastor Jason LaFlamme will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday March 27, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
