Obituary of Evelyn A. Matznick

Matznick, Evelyn A. Byron, Michigan Evelyn passed away on June 1, 2016, at the age of 87. She was born in Elsie Michigan on April 18, 1929 to the late Elwood and Alice (Teets) Mole. She has been a Byron Area resident since moving here from Ovid in 1966. She was a graduate of Ovid High School – Class of 1947, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Byron, and retired in 1980 from the Byron Area Schools where she worked as a cook. She loved cooking for family and friends, summer flowers, traveling, and collecting antiques. She is survived by her 3 sons, James (Letitia) Matznick, Bruce Matznick, and David Matznick; a step-son, Darwin (Jan) Matznick; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald; many nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver, Stephanie Hannan. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald in 2009; her son, Jeffrey; three sisters, and two brothers. No service is planned at this time.
