Meta passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Bay County Medical Care Facility. She was born in Bay City on July 14, 1927 to the late Cecil and Irene Howse. She attended Bay City Central High School and graduated in 1945. She was preceded in death by her four brothers Art, Wallace, Charles, and Eldred. She married Otis Ray Schatzer on September 1, 1945. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1993. She married Everett Cody in 1997 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Her memory will be cherished by her children Richard Schatzer, Otis Schatzer and his wife Nikki, and Carl Schatzer and his wife Gail, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. A heartfelt "thank you" to the staff at Bay County Medical Care Facility for their wonderful care given to her in the months she was there. Meta will be buried at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City.
