Obituary of Ruth A. Schnell

Schnell, Ruth A. Freeland, Michigan Mrs. Schnell, age 72, died on Monday July 11, 2016. Ruth was born in Bay City, Michigan on September 18, 1943 to the late Clifford and Laura (Graham) Giffin. She married Wilbert Schnell on July 17, 1984. She was a hairdresser for 34 years working most of her career at Betsy's Hair Design. Ruth enjoyed knitting baby blankets for the grandkids and great grandkids. Mrs. Schnell is survived by her husband Wilbert "Bill", her children; Margo (Steve Landis) Brown, Scott (Judy May) Crofoot, Terri (Mark) Charbonneau, Tammy (Gary) Sandillo, Charlie (Stephanie Heckroth) Crofoot and special daughter in law Shannon Mechling. Also surviving are grandchildren; Tara (Mike) Kidd, Steven Landis, Alex Brown, Mark Charbonneau Jr., Jason (Stephanie) Charbonneau, Sierra Parrish, Evan Sandillo, Tyler (Bre Sevilla) Mechling and Laekyn Crofoot , great grandchildren; Peyton Kidd, Carson Charbonneau, Claire Charbonneau, and Aria Mechling, brother in law Elmer Schnell and special nephew Dale (Marie) Giffin. She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Giffin, sister in law Marty Giffin, brother in law Alvin Schnell and son in law Kliff Brown. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. Pastor Peter Avery will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan will be held on Monday July 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M..
