Sullivan, Murray M. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Sullivan, age 97, died Tuesday July 12, 2016. Murray was born in Bay City, Michigan on September 18, 1918 to the late Michael and Marianne (Fuger) Sullivan. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a Bataan death march survivor, and a POW for 3 ½ years under the Japanese. He retired from General Motors in 1984. Murray loved fishing and took every chance to go fishing. Mr. Sullivan is survived by his 2 sons; Thomas (Sheryl) Sullivan and Tim Sullivan both of Bay City; 3 grandchildren, Cristin Gougeon, Eric Sullivan, and Daniel (Jodi) Decuf; 3 great grandchildren; Malaya Gougeon, Jaden Decuf and Joseph Decuf, his brother Michael (Patsy) Sullivan of Bay City, brother in law Harold (Angie) Piotrowski of Bay City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Loretta June 14, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday July 15, 2016 at the Hyatt-Ewald Funeral Home, Bay City. Deacon Stanley Kuczynski will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
