LaRue, Mary Virginia Bay City, MI Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born March 12, 1925 to the late Herman and Mary Monica (Barney) Corbat in Bay City. She married Donald LaRue on September 13, 1947 and they shared 60 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for her entire life, retiring from St. Joseph Catholic School where she was the school cook. She cooked for many years as chair of the St. Joseph's Funeral Committee, and had been a member of the St. Anne Society and the Travelling Wigwam Trailer Club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and all kinds of crafting. Her greatest love in life was being with her family and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, David (Jane Ann) LaRue, Patricia (Frank) Cieszlak, & Anne Divo all of Bay City; 6 grandchildren, Adam (Kayla) Cieszlak, Katherine (Eric) Cuffe, Mark (Jessica) Cieszlak, Jessica (Abdiel) Marin, Michelle (Ben) Vorwerck, and Anthony (Amy) Cole; 7 great-grandchildren, Kendra, Kaylee, Lydia, Aiden, Lucas, Cade, and Andrew. Also surviving are her brother, Clifford Corbat; sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Lee, Geraldine Sawyer, and Patricia LaRue; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Don in 2008; great-granddaughters Allison and Violet Cieszlak; brothers, Virgil Corbat, Lester Corbat, Clair Corbat; and many brothers and sisters in law. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday May 13, 2017 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1005 3rd Street, Bay City. Father Dale Orlik will officiate, with interment following in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Rachel Sovereign Home or All Saints Central High School.
