Zvara, Joyce A. Bay City, MI Joyce Zvara, age 75, died peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility where she received excellent care. Joyce was born April 12, 1942 in Flint Michigan to the late Vaughn and Barbara Gaffney. After her graduation from Bay City Central High School, she served two years in the United States Air Force where she made friends that she kept in contact with her entire life. She married Albert Zvara September 22, 1962 and they had three children; Marianne, Bill and Rick. In addition to raising her children, she volunteered many hours at Holy Trinity School, worked in the cafeteria or on the playground, helped at their fun fairs and watched children while their parents went to church. She was the fun mom taking her kids to the park on bicycles and getting candy, and later a fun grandmother to her six grandchildren, always sharing a smile and her joy of living. For Joyce, family wasn't just a part of her life, they were her life. She had numerous prayer group friends who were a great support to her for many years. Joyce will be remembered as a people person, a kind and generous person, a person who truly cared about everyone. She truly was happiest when giving to and serving others. Her main purpose in life was to lead people to Jesus; one at a time. Surviving are her children, Marianne (Bill) Ewald of Alden MI and Bill (Wendy) Zvara of Bay City MI; grandchildren, Erica (Brad) Harpe, Andrew (Liz Parsons) Manor, Cameron Zvara, Keaton Zvara, Alexis Zvara and Zachary Zvara; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy Harpe. Also surviving are her sister, Barbara (Doug) Schuble of Louisville, KY; two sisters- in-law, Barbara (Ray) Steff and Betty (Bob) Kowalski, both of Bay City, MI.
