Obituary of Rehana Yasmeen Khan-Brown

Please share a memory of Rehana to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beautiful, loved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, grandma, niece, friend, and coworker, Rehana Khan-Brown was called home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday July 9, 2017 at 7pm surrounded by her family after being brought home on Hospice on the evening of Wednesday July 5, 2017. Rehana found out in late October that she had stage four Glioblastoma located on the left side of her brain. In these past 8 months Rehana underwent multiple surgeries and medical treatments. It was a hard fought journey that she took on with strength and dignity, with her family endlessly by her side. Rehana was a graphic designer who spent many years working alongside her mother at Tri City Printing, formally know as American Speedy Printing Saginaw, Michigan. Before her diagnosis Rehana worked as the Marketing Director for Miracle Ear in Saginaw. She was an active community member dedicating her time to causes that embrace racial harmony and equality in the communities of Saginaw and Bay City, Michigan. She sat on the board for the YWCA and the Bridge Center for Racial Harmony. Her passion for the arts has inspired many young children, including her own to express their creative energy through music, performance and the visual arts. In recent years, she became an avid biker exploring scenic Michigan views. In 2014 Rehana studied as a Roberts Fellow at SVSU and had the opportunity to travel abroad to Asia. In May 2017 Rehana received her Masters Degree in Public Administration from SVSU. On Valentines Day, February 14, 1996, Rehana married her best friend Ricky Clare Brown in Las Vegas at The Little White Chappell. They instantly became a small family as Rick had two children Crystal Ann Brown and Whitney Jo Brown. Their family grew when they welcomed Kaegan Claire Brown and Madeline Ellery Brown to the world. They had many treasured vacations between them and loved their time at home lounging as a family by the pool. Their family will cherish these memories forever. In recent years Rick, Rehana, Kaegan and Madeline would drive up to Tawas for the weekend to take in the view and enjoy peaceful time together. Rehana was surrounded by countless loved ones even as she took her last breath. She leaves behind so many who will forever mourn this deep loss. Rehana was survived by her husband Ricky Clare Brown, Mother In-law: Kathrin Kay Kling, Father: Mohammed Yunus Khan, Children: her most precious treasures, Crystal (Bobby Howsare) Brown, Whitney (Shawn McClorey) Brown, Kaegan and Madeline Brown, her beloved sisters: Tyra and (Shahzad) Khan, Shela (Richard Monroe) Khan-Monroe, Cynthia Valdez, Becky (Dave) Peruski, nieces and nephews: Mason and Nadia Khan, Lane and Isla Monroe, Dillon and Colby Peruski, Esteban and Caleb Valdez; her "adopted" son, Tyler Mercier-Leonard; Grandchildren: Liam, Paxton and Griffin McClorey and Eliot and Julian Hown.
