Garcia, Margaret Valencia Bay City, MI Margaret passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the age of 92. She was born in Sedgwick Colorado on June 10, 1925 to the late Eulogio and Juanita (Torres) Valencia and has been an area resident most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and spending time in the garden with her roses. She is survived by her children, Erlinda V. (Gary R.) Greene of Davison MI, Alfred A. (Cindy L.) Garcia Jr of Phoenix AZ, and Arthur Valencia (Tina) Garcia of Bay City MI; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving are her brother and sister, Juan Valencia of Bay City and Dolores Garcia of Bay City MI; a special friend, Eija Kengis of Kalamazoo MI; many nieces and nephews; and special companion, her puppy "Tiny". She was predeceased by her husband Alfredo Aleman Garcia Sr. in 1994; two brothers, Lorenzo and Guadalupe "Lupe"; and special friend, LuAnn King. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the McLaren staff for the care provided to their mother…especially Randy and Tish. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 AM, at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 1515 Cass, Bay City, MI. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 2 PM – 8 PM at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City and at church on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
