Obituary of Ronald M. Korinek

Korinek, Ronald M. Bay City, MI Ronald, age 79, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017. He was born in Detroit Michigan on August 16, 1938 to the late Henry and Virginia (Soop) Korinek. He married the former Rita Peters on June 27, 1964 in Detroit Michigan, and she survives him. He was retired from Delphi Corporation in 1998 after 33 years of service. He was active for many years with the Boy Scouts and Cubs Scouts. He was a member of many bowling teams in the Bay City area for many years. He is survived by his wife Rita; four children, William (Kerri) Korinek of Bay City MI, Matthew Korinek of Essexville MI, Shelly (Randy) Hamell of Bay City MI, and Kelly Korinek of Bay City MI. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his brother, Douglas (Sue) Korinek of Kalamazoo MI; brother-in-law, Fred Childress; two nieces, Patricia Nagel and Jennifer Ingersoll; four nephews, Bobby Childress, Jamie, John, and Chris Korinek. He was predeceased by his son Henry in 2003 and his sister, Sharon Childress. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 2956 East North Union Road, Bay City MI, with Father Nick Coffaro officiating. The family will receive friends at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM with a vigil service being held at 7 PM. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of service.
