Mary passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the age of 64. She was born October 31, 1953 in Bay City Michigan. In her youth, she was an excellent flute player at Garber High School in Essexville MI. Her parent's home in Essexville was the friendship hub of the neighborhood. She will be missed by her friends in Traverse City where she had spent her entire adult life.
She is survived by her father, Robert J. (Pat) Cavanaugh; sisters, Anne J. and Patricia E. Cavanaugh and her boyfriend of 23 years, Tom Dockery. She was predeceased by her mother Joyce M. Cavanaugh and her sister Kathleen Shawn Cavanaugh. No services are planned at this time.
