Doris Ann Dobyne was born in Centreville, Alabama to the late Albert and Dessie (Lee) Dobyne on July 10, 1951. Doris departed this life suddenly on Friday, January 18, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region.
Doris joined Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age and accepted Christ into her life. She attended Bibb County Training Elementary School and H. D. Davidson High School, where she was a member of the last graduating class in 1969. She was an honor student and a member of the school's band.
In 1969 Doris moved to Bay City, Michigan where she was employed at Community Laundry, and then General Motors for 20 years. She then became a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Doris was a great story teller – she could make people laugh at the simplest of things. She enjoyed life, and what made her happiest, was having the kids visit, always having some type of treat for them.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Christine Thomas of Grand Blanc, MI, Bertha (Roosevelt) Morris of Birmingham, AL, Marie Rhoden of Heflin, AL; her Godson and caregiver, Chad Morris, of Bay City; special nephews, Danny (Karla) Oakes of Essexville, MI, Darryl Oakes of Grand Blanc, MI, Derek Dobyne (her caregiver) of
