Obituary of David Stanley Walker

Walker, David Stanley Bay City, MI David, age 60, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019. He was born in Bay City on April 20, 1959 to the late Dock and Mary Alice (Gipson) Walker. He enjoyed people and walking everywhere, and sometimes being with family. He is lovingly known as "Stone" by his friends. He was a 1978 graduate of Bay City Central High School where he ran track for 4 years, winning many medals for his accomplishments. He was a member of Gethsamene Missionary Baptist Church in Bay City and remained faithful throughout his illness. He is survived by his siblings, Denise Tyiska of Bay City MI, Crystal Byas of Bay City MI, Wanda (Ben) Harris of Rockford IL, Michael Walker of Bay City MI, and Tina (William) Walker Daniels of Bay City MI; nieces and nephews, Terrance Harris of Atlanta GA, William Daniels of Bay City MI, Christina Wagner of Bay City MI, Alicia Harris of Rockford IL, and special nephew Andrew "Playboy" "Ragu" Walker of Bay City MI; special cousin, Samuel "Boe" Gipson; special friends, Keith Coburn of Bay City, Greg "Uncle Bolly" Coburn, and Pearl "Cuz" Evans; several aunts & uncles; special aunt, Clara Davis; and many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Tondalear Walker & Alicia Walker; and niece, Lakeshia Walker. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N. Monroe St., Bay City MI. Pastor Edward Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, from 1 PM – 2 PM.
