Mr. Calopisis, age 87, died on Wednesday October 23, 2019. Paul George was born in Bay City on November 22, 1931 to the late George and Winifred (Goulet) Calopisis. Paul was a 1950 graduate of Bay City Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married the former Theresa Kosik on July 2, 1955. Paul enjoyed building model- mainly ships, gardening, and cooking. He retired from Consumers Energy. Mr. Calopisis is survived by his wife Theresa; their 3 children, Allen (Sheila) Calopisis, Kenneth (Paula) Calopisis, and Dennis (Shawnna) Calopisis. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, D'Arcy (Ted) McAvoy, Phil, Logan, Tyler and Kevin; 3 great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Ted and Paul McAvoy; his brother, James (Marilyn) Calopisis; and his sister, Theodora (Al) Reichard. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Georgia Steele and Mary Borsick. A private family service has been held. To sign online guestbook visit www.hyattewald.com.
