Joseph, age 81, died on Thursday August 6, 2020. Joseph Anastasius Rytlewski was born in Bay City on March 23, 1939 to the late Stanley and Frances (Jarczynski) Rytlewski. Joseph was a 1957 Graduate of St. Stanislaus High School, married the former Beverly C. Lokajtys on December 12, 1958, and served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1958 to 1961. Although he enjoyed daily bike riding, woodworking, and was especially proud of and loved working in, both his flower and vegetable gardens. He was a member of the PLAV and AMVETS Post #22, Bay City. He retired in 1982 from Rogers Machine Company, Bay City. Mr. Rytlewski is survived by his wife of 61 years Beverly, their 3 children; Kevin Rytlewski of Flint, Vicki (Ron) Warren of Bay City and Keith (Tina) Rytlewski of Bay City. Also surviving are 3 grandsons; Brett Warren of Bay City, Jake Warren of Bay City and Keith Jr. Rytlewski of Bay City, 3 sisters; Maryanne Baumer of Bay City, Arlene (Edmund) Gruzczynski of Bay City, and Margie Jaynes of Bay City, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 3 sons; Mark, Brian, and Dennis Rytlewski, his daughter Brenda Rytlewski, granddaughter Haley Rytlewski, 3 sisters; Helen (Henry) Balderrama, Evelyn (Harry) LaFond, and Rose (Ray) Pauwels, 2 brothers in law Chuck Baumer and Bill Jaynes. A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Mausoleum at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Bay City, with Military Honors by the Bay County Veterans Council. Please note that in compliance the order of the Governor, masks and social distancing will be required. Fr. Rick Filary will officiate. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Detroit Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
