Mr. Whyte, age 80, died on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Gary Wayne Whyte was born in Pinconning on June 16, 1940 to the late Bernard and Evelyn V. (Ouillette) Whyte. Gary worked at his family’s auto dealership Whyte Motor Sales in Pinconning, then owned and operated Whyte’s Sport Center in Pinconning, and later was worked in construction management until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #414, and enjoyed playing Euchre.
Mr. Whyte is survived by his son, Michael Whyte of Bay City; his sister, Catherine (Durwood) Perrou of Linwood; his brother, Lawrence “Butch” (Paula) Whyte of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. A private family service has been held, with his final resting place at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Pinconning.
