Obituary of JoAnne Ida Deuscher

JoAnne, age 86, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was born December 3, 1934 in Bay City Michigan to the late Lowell and Marion (Harmon) Aspin. She married Ronald O. Deuscher on March 10, 1956, and he survives her. She retired from the Bay Arenac ISD where she worked for many years as a Para Professional. She loved music and was a long-time member of both Westminster Presbyterian Church and their choir. She especially enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adeline’s for over 20 years. She served her community for many years volunteering with her husband for the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, ringing bells and counting money. She was always willing and able to make cookies whenever needed, especially her chocolate chip and chocolate covered Oreo cookie balls. Her family was not just a part of her life, they were her life and she enjoyed nothing more than the time spent making memories with them. She is survived by Ron, her husband of 65 years; children, Terri Lee (Chris Ruff) of Albion MI, David (Paige) Deuscher of Lancaster OH, and Stacey (Greg) Schell of Omer MI; grandchildren, Elexis (Matt) Meloy, Elyse (Thomas) Swop e, Jordon Hilldinger, Kelli Spencer and Jacob Deuscher, Luke and Kenzie Schell; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Landon Meloy, Parker and Addison Swope, Lainee Bennett; twin sister, JeAnne (Richard) Hebner of Bay City MI and her sister, Marisue Bittner of Port Charlotte FL. A Life Celebration will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Midland Street, Bay City MI, with Rev. Jamie Milton officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall prior to the service from 12 Noon until 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Memorial Contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church Food Pantry.
