Dear Al, Ann, Kathy, Jane, John and family,
I can’t tell you how saddened I was to hear about the passing of dear Barb. What a long and memorable life she lived, somewhat Flint royalty! I always admired her and all she accomplished. Like Ann Gumpper, I always loved stopping by her shop and so appreciated her creative eye for pulling things together so tastefully. A few years ago we were all overwhelmed by her kindness and grace when she flew all the way to SLC to honor John Renneckar at a grand memorial we had. I have nothing but wonderful memories of her. Sending lots of love, prayer, and hugs to all of you.
Blessings,
Dale L. Strobel

Dear Mr Koegel (Al, I really can't help calling you that!), Anne, Kathy, Jane and John,
We were very sorry to hear of your lovely wife and mom's passing, she was a treasure. Barbara was one of the wonderful moms that was always there for us kids at church and choir when we were little, and it wasn't until I grew up that I also recognized her enormous intellect and talent. I loved going to her shop with my mom - she always saw such gorgeous possibilities for design! My mom loved her work and especially appreciated how sensitive she was to her clients and friends and could help them achieve their own dreams, rather than pushing them towards hers. I think it's the mark of a true designer, and a true friend.
Love to all of you. Ann

To Jane, Kathy, Anne, John and Al….
I was just so sad to hear the news about your mom. Although it is years since I’ve seen her, or any of you, your family has made an indelible impact on me, starting in those very formidable years of high school. I pray comfort and peace for all of you and pray the joy your mom gave you and the world continues to shine through all of you.
With condolences- David and Pam Knecht
