My gram, you have been the best gift given to me. Growing up you taught me how to play dice and cards. The stockings up on Jenison (everyone had one), looking at Christmas lights, bottles and cans, walks to 7-11 and talking with people in the neighborhood. Sunday morning breakfasts, the fried eggs and potatoes, kool aid and your cookie jar. You gave me the best gift of all, it was always your time. We did not need a car, vacations, phones all we needed was each other and time. You never once told me no and I wish I did some things the way you did. Always keeping the house so clean, bed always made and nothing on the floor. The times I spent with you weekly while pregnant watching the biggest loser and drinking my glass of Pepsi. Watching you hold Emily for the first time was great. We have had some good talks over the last few years and I am thankful for all the time I was able to give you to tell you how much you mean to me. I loved watching the game shows, home improvement shows and Home Alone most recently at Christmas. At that last moment my gram I would not have wanted to be anywhere else but by your side. Thank You for loving me as much as you did, telling me how proud you are of me and continuing to make me smile. I will see you in my dreams my beautiful gram.
