Ronald, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.  He was born on December 16, 1934 in Bay City Michigan to the late Joseph Otto and Nina Louise (Smith) Deuscher.  He married JoAnne I. Aspin on March 10, 1956.  Ron served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  Ron owned and operated Borrow’s Drapery and taught Interior Design at Delta College.   He loved music and was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he sang in their choir and served as a Deacon. He served his community for many years volunteering with the Salvation Army year-round in many capacities such as serving on the Advisory Board, in the soup kitchen, on the coat drive, and wherever he was needed.  In addition, he provided weekly oversight all the monetary donations. Both he and his wife volunteered at holiday time for the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, ringing bells and counting money.  He was also a member of the Gideons of Bay City.

He is survived by his 3 children, Terri Lee (Chris Ruff) of Albion, Michigan, David (Paige) Deuscher of Lancaster, OH, and Stacie (Greg) Schell of Omer, MI; grandchildren, Elexis (Matt) Meloy, Elyse (Thomas) Swope, Jordan Hildinger, Kelli, Spencer and Jacob Deuscher, and Luke and Kenzie Schell; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Landon Meloy, Parker and Addison Swope, and Lainee Bennett; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JeAnne and Richard Hebner of Bay City MI; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceeded in death by his wife, JoAnne in March 2021; and his twin brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Deuscher.

A Life Celebration will be held at 11 am, Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 103 E. Midland Street, Bay City, Michigan, with Rev. Jamie Milton officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall prior to the service from 10 am until service time.
