Kernal,
You were always the life of the party! I am so thankful for all the times we had together. From shenanigans at the Derby parties to making me laugh so hard I went into labor early for the twins, to your amazing kids that we have enjoyed watching grow into some special adults, to just being the amazing person you were, you will ALWAYS be remembered and all those priceless memories cherished.
My kids are so fortunate to have countless funny memories of times spent with "Uncle Kern"!
We'll miss you always; until we meet again my friend!

I'm truly saddened by the loss of Randy. He was family and a friend to me. Looking back over the years that I've known him I find it easy to remember some really great times and conversations together. Randy was great to talk with, we both shared things that usually ended up in laughter. I will miss those conversations, rounds of golf and family gatherings my friend. But most of all I want to thank you for being a great Father in Law to my son and Grandpa to our beautiful Grand children. You will be missed Sir

Met Randy in school, we sat with each other
In Social Studies in our senior year.. that ‘s where our friendship grew.. over the years we had met at local establishments and we continued our conversations like we never missed a beat.. He had a contagious laugh I still hear it! RIP
My friend.

Randy grew up down the road a mile away. We rode the bus together and he always was cracking jokes. When high school came along, some shenanigans ensued. He was always fun. We worked together our senior year and a little beyond at Bavarian Inn restaurant. He sure made the work environment much more interesting. I ‘m sure you’re making everyone smile in your eternal life, Randy. RIP

I recently had breakfast with Randy on July 26th at Papios in Reese. He was full of joy and looking forward to his heart replacement surgery. His doctor told him he would be all fixed up. Randy was a valued member of Reese High School - class of 1974. He was hoping to be well enough to attend our 50th class reunion in September. He is now whole again up in heaven for which I am thankful for.

My memory is from many years ago, but as either a late elementary or early junior high classmate, I was invited to stay overnight.
At dinner I found out his dad made people eat what was on their plate. The menu was liver, which was disgusting to me. He told me I had to eat it anyway. Trying to be polite, I attempted to eat the french fries that were the side dish with a fork. I stabbed at one and it flipped up into his plate. His brother happened to be taking a drink of milk, and I believe it came out of his nose. Needless to say, I was never invited back, but got out of eating the liver.
Randy and I remained friends through graduation, when I ended up moving away.

Q: How did you meet Randolph?
A: I first met Randy in the 70’s while working at Wickes Agriculture/Pilsbury/Berger etc. Enjoyed many fun times together including backpacking in Canada, boating in Bay City and bowling at Karps in Reese. In 1980 he was a groomsman in my wedding. Although our paths have not crossed for years I have many memories of Randy and our friendship that I will hold on forever. RIP My friend.

I have so many funny stories, from when we worked together at Wickes/Pillsbury/Berger aka ConAgra. I just recently shared this story with a friend.
When our big boss was in town from Stockton, CA, Randy was headed out the front door. The boss said, “Where are you going?” Randy’s response, “To get my haircut.” Boss, “On company time?” Randy said, “It grows on company time.” The boss shook his head laughing and Randy was off to get his haircut. I hope you’re laughing with all of those departed family and friends. Until we meet again, save some new jokes for me!
I know your family is sad, but laughter is the world’s best healer!
