Joan Streeter passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the age of 82. Martha Joan was born July 3, 1932 to the late George Carroll and Martha Lenora (Bennett) Hatfield. She was a1949 graduate of Byron High School. She married Keith Dee Streeter on February 13, 1954. She provided many wonderful memories of fun. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Durand, Past President of UMW, sang in the church choir, was a Sunday School Teacher, was a member of Bancroft Chapter # 225 OES, Past President of the County Association, and Past Grand Guardian of the International Order of Job's Daughter of the State of Michigan. The footprint she has left on the many lives she has touched on her journey through this life is truly amazing.
She is survived by her children, Lenora L. (Danny) Teeter, Carrol D. Roupe, Nancy (Larry) Sigmon, and Lawrence Streeter; 13 grandchildren, Dawn, Brian, David, Stacey, Kim, Brad, Lance, Steve, Christina, Samantha, Jennifer, Amanda, & Matthew; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister in law, Thelma Streeter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith and son David.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11 AM at Durand United Methodist Church, 10016 E. Newburg Rd., Durand MI. Rev. Beverly Marr will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon MI. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 3PM â€“ 8PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until service time. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Durand United Methodist Church Building Fund, Durand Loaves and Fishes, or Greater Harvest Ministry, Fenton.
