Richard Louis, age 69, died on Sunday July 9, 2017. He was born in Bay City on February 17, 1948 to the late George Alfred and Naomi Margaret (Cavender) Lesniak. He served in the US Navy from 1965 to 1969 aboard the USS Francis Marion. He worked as a carpet installer and recently worked at Chuckie's Market in Bay City for Mary Militello, a very dear friend. He loved music and enjoyed playing the harmonica. He is survived by two daughters, Sara Howard Vollmer and Geanette Howard. Also surviving is a nephew Alan (Barbara) Flues, 2 nieces, Sherry (Bruce) Martin and Lisa van Klaveren and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret van Klaveren, a niece Angie Diehl, and a nephew Roger Flues. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
